Cost of Legal Services
Q: "Will I have to advance any money?"
A: As with other personal injury attorneys in Alabama, we charge a contingency fee. This means that you don't pay us until and unless we obtain a recovery for you. Additionally, we front all the court costs, filing fees, expert services, etc.

Insurance Coverage for Auto Accident
Q: "The driver who hit me did not have automobile liability coverage as required by Alabama law. Does this mean I will be unable to obtain compensation?"
A: Not necessarily. Almost every policy of insurance contains underinsured/uninsured coverage. This means that you probably have underinsured coverage under your auto policy, which can provide compensation for your auto accident injuries. Also, if the other driver was working for someone or was in the scope of his employment, that employer's insurance company would be responsible for compensating you.

Work Accidents
Q: "I was injured on the job due to the negligence of an employee of another company. Workers comp is paying my bills. Am I limited only to what I can get under Alabama's workers compensation law?
A: No. You may also pursue a "third-party claim" against the employee and his employer to obtain what worker's comp will not provide.

Settlements vs. "Going to Court"
Q: "I am scared to death of going to Court. What are the chances my case will settle?"
A: While we are trial attorneys and frequently go to court, the fact remains that 95% of all personal injury claims result in settlement. If you have a strong case, the odds are that the insurance company for the other party will want to settle.

Medical Bills
Q: "Some or all of my medical bills are unpaid. How can I stop the annoying creditors while my case is pending?"
A: Oftentimes the healthcare providers will accept a letter of protection from us. This agreement basically states that we will pay them when your case is settled or tried to a jury.

"What is my Case Worth?"
Once you are done treating with your physician and have reached maximum medical improvement (MMI), we will obtain your medical records and seek a deposition or narrative from your physician to substantiate your injuries and medical bills. If necessary, we will hire experts to offer opinions about the permanency and duration of these injuries. Thereafter, based upon our years of experience as injury lawyers, we will advise you what a reasonable settlement range should be. In the event the insurance company's offer is too low, we can go to court and obtain a jury verdict.

"What Compensation Can I Expect?"
Any and all injuries and damages caused by the other party are proper items to claim. These can include, but are not limited to, medical bills, lost wages, mental anguish, property damage, future bills, punitive damages, out-of-pocket expenses, etc.

With over 22 years experience, we have handled a wide variety of personal injury claims, including car accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death, workplace accidents, etc.  Your personal injury claim should be handled by an experienced and seasoned lawyer.
